This Privacy Policy explains how RECON PLUS PTY LTD (ABN 94 673 110 177) (“RECON”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use the RECON application and website at reconplus.pro (together, the “Service”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: your name, email address and authentication details when you create an account or sign in. RECON supports email/password sign-in and Google sign-in; if you use Google sign-in, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Organisation & project data: workspaces, clients, projects, team members, roles and permissions you set up.
- Content you create: day diaries, dockets, timesheets, approvals, notes, and any attachments or records you enter into the Service.
- Employment-related information: details such as role, hours worked and leave that you or your organisation record in the Service.
- Technical & usage information: device type, operating system, app version, log data and general usage information collected automatically to operate and improve the Service.
2. Data collected by the mobile app
The following summarises the data the RECON mobile app may collect, to align with the Apple App Store privacy questionnaire and the Google Play Data safety section. Final store disclosures should match the version you submit.

We do not use your data for third-party advertising and we do not sell your data.
3. Device permissions
The app requests the following device permissions. You can decline or revoke them in your device settings; some features may not work without them.
- Camera: to take site photos and receipts to attach to your records.
- Photo library: to add site photos and receipts to your day diaries.
4. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain and secure the Service and your account;
- To enable the features you use: diaries, dockets, timesheets, approvals and team management;
- To authenticate you and protect against fraud or unauthorised access;
- To respond to your requests and provide support;
- To improve, troubleshoot and develop the Service;
- To comply with our legal obligations.
5. How your information is stored and secured
The Service is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Authentication is provided by Amazon Cognito and application data is stored using AWS managed services. Data is hosted in the AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) region. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Disclosure of your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, AWS for cloud hosting and authentication, and Google for sign-in), bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
- Your organisation: if you use RECON as part of a team or employer account, the organisation's administrators may access content and records associated with that account;
- Authorities where required by law, regulation or legal process.
7. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Your rights & deleting your account
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may request that we delete it, subject to legal and operational requirements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. See Account & Data Deletion for how. To make any other request, contact us using the details below. You may also raise a privacy concern with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
10. Children
The Service is intended for use by adults in a workplace context and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Service.
